Moebius, the pseudonym used by artist Jean Giraud, is one of the most important comix artists of this time - and not just for his immense output. He was the creator of the best-selling, ground-breaking, western series 'Blueberry' and many other series. But he is most admired for his science-fiction works, such as the wordless comix fantasy 'Arzach', the 'Incal' series (scripted by Alejandro Jodorowsky) and 'Major Fatale'. Also he was the one of the few artists with the guts to do comics without a scenario. Moebius is known worldwide for his fantastic work, so it was a great loss when Jean Giraud died in Paris on the morning of 10 March 2012, at the age of 73.
