'The Cartoon History of the United States'.
Larry Gonick is the creator of 'The Cartoon History of the Universe', 'The Cartoon History of the United States' and the 'Cartoon Guide' series. Among his main graphic influences are Carl Barks, Robert Crumb, George Herriman, Walt Kelly, Harvey Kurtzman, Rius, Gilbert Shelton, John Stanley and Wallace Wood. Later in life, he also expressed admiration for Scott Adams' 'Dilbert', Lynn Johnston's 'For Better of For Worse' and Lat's 'Kampung Boy'.
Gonick has penned a great many works of non-fiction cartooning, and is staff cartoonist for Muse magazine. Larry lives in San Francisco with his wife and two daughters.
