Ángel Pardo was one of the most prolific illustrators of 'Capitán Trueno' stories. He has illustrated dozens of episodes, starting in 1959. He has also illustrated 'El Caballero de las Tres Cruces' and 'El Jabato'. Among his own creations are 'Héctor el Titán', 'Edmundo de Glenford' and 'Octavio de Benalcázar'.

He began his career in 1943, doing humorous stories in Leyendas Infantiles. In the following years, he als joined Flechas y Pelayos and he created the character 'Din Detective'. His comics have appeared in magazines and collections like DDT, Historias Selección, Joyas literarias juveniles, Colección Historias, Bisonte Gráfico, Bisonte extra Ilustrado, Colección Pimpinela Extra, Colección Caperucita, and Pulgarcito.
