Lamelos auction

The Lamelos auction took place on 25 September at Galerie Lambiek. There was a lot of bidding, shouting, beer drinking, and breaking stuff that nobody wanted.

Most of the money that was made was converted to crates of beer and bottles of wine! The first Lamelos auction happened as an after-party for the Lamelos exposition back in 2006. Since then it has become an annual tradition. Thanks for a fun evening!

'Bob Dylan Revisited'

Galerie Lambiek and Silvester Editions presented the anthology 'Bob Dylan Revisited' on Thursday, 28 May 2009.

A group of thirteen internationally esteemed artists, including Lorenzo Mattotti, François Avril, Dave McKean and Gradimir Smudja, made an hommage to the great poet-musician. Each of them transformed one of Dylan's lyrics into a gorgeous short comic. The book contains the original lyrics and the Dutch translations.

Translators Erik Bindervoet and Robbert-Jan Henkes sang a few of the songs at the presentation. Gradimir Smudja, who illustrated the beautiful song 'Hurricane' and also the book cover, was present to sign the book. Thanks to everyone who came, and we hope you all can stop by to get your own copy of this lovely book.
