Marcel Ruijters
'Inferno'

Marcel Ruijters and Galerie Lambiek are delighted to extend the original art exposition 'Inferno', from Friday the 25th of April 2008 until mid-June 2008. All 119 original pages from the recently published graphic novel (Oog & Blik, Amsterdam) are currently still on display as a tribute to this month's award. Inferno was nominated for the VPRO Best Dutch Graphic Novel 2008 award, and now looks like a sure bet to win first prize. Congratulations!

You can also see the original scrapeboard illustrations on display for the new booklet, 'Bestiarium', available in June 2008.

Bira signing
at Lambiek

Brazilian cartoonist Bira Dantas did a book signing at Lambiek on Saturday, 31 May 2008. Many lucky visitors came by to meet the artist and his wife, while he drew caricatures, signed books, and even entertained us with his harmonica! Thanks for a lovely day.

The Heinz Empire

'The Heinz-Imperium' by René Windig & Eddie de Jong opened on 24 August 2006 in Galerie Lambiek. Many original sketches, drawings and comic strip panels were on display, along with recent paintings and amusing bric-a-brac.

Dutch artist Wasco opened his exposition "Wasco's World" in Galerie Lambiek on 28 July 2006, with many of his original drawings, comics, prints, sculptures and paintings.

The Aart Clerkx exposition opened in Galerie Lambiek in April 2006, and Dutch underground artist Aart Clerkx (Acé) exposed his many oil and acrylic paintings.

Belgian comic artist Luc Cromheecke opened his new exposition '100 Years of Taco Zip' in Galerie Lambiek on 24 February 2006, and it was on display until early April 2006. Read more about it in the Reporter 2006 newsletter.
