François Avril Exposition
"Urban Landscapes"

The work of François Avril has its roots in the classical European comics tradition, but has evolved from illustrative print to artful watercolors and paintings. Balancing between figurative and abstract art, the work of this Parisian artist presents street scenes and women figures which seem to be frozen in time.

Avril's current art exposition was shown at Stripdagen Haarlem, the Dutch comics festival weekend in early June, and then in Galerie Lambiek until the end of July 2002.
