Born in Shanghai Ye Chunyang grew up in Yuyao in the province Zhejiang. In 1949 he started to work for the Journal of Man-hua series in Shanghai. After some years as art editor of a publishing company he got a job as staff cartoonist in Beijing's Workers Daily. The cartoon 'A Pair of Little Dogs' won the first prize at the national Cartoon Exhibition in 1982. |
