Shungiku Uchida is a mangaka who debuted with 'Shiirakansu Brains' in 1984. Among her manga serials, often dealing with young office ladies, are 'Omae no kaachan Bitch!!', 'Kedarui Yoru ni' and 'Maboroshi no Futsuu Shoujo'. Besides a career as a mangaka, she is also active with music and as a novelist. She wrote a controversial semi-autobiographical book called "Fatherf**ker" which was also adapted into a live-action movie.
