Raymond Tournon was an early French humorous artist, who made his debut in Le Journal pour Tous in 1898. He was then present in La Vie Amusante, Le Cri-Cri and L'Inédit. He made comics for Fillette, starting with 'Les Aventures de Guénola et de Gulduc' in the first issue of 21 October 1909. He also filled the magazines' early centre pages, with 'L'Homme au Bâton de Fer'. |

Tournon additionally contributed fantasy and exotic strips like 'Myrtil, la Princesse au Doigt Magique', 'L'Extraordinaire Chevauchée du Prince Modeste' and 'La Vengeance du Mandarin' for the magazine, as well as melodramatic stories like 'Dominiquette' and 'Michelinette'. Tournon was also present in L'Épatant with 'La Bande des Masques Rouges' in 1915. |
