Leen Spierenburg worked a lot together with Gerda Spierenburg, using pseudonyms like Jack. Spieger or Bing Reupers. In the 1940s, they produced some small comic books (so-called "beeldromans") in the Panter collection. He also illustrated several episodes in the 'Pietje Prik' series by Lea Smulders. |

Some of the panels in his beeldromans strongly resembled Pieter Kuhn's 'Kapitein Rob'. You can read more about it on this webpage. |
