James "Jim" Sherman worked in the Upstart Studios with Walt Simonson and Larry O'Neil. He worked on DC's 'Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes' strip with Paul Levitz and several inkers during the 1970s, drawing among others the ambitious 'Earthwar' storyline. Sherman has also done fill-ins on Marvel's Peter Parker Annual, 'Silver Surfer' (1990), 'The Punisher', 'Steelgrip Starkey and the All-Purpose Power Tool' and 'Alpha Flight'. In 1981, he has illustrated the coloring and activity book 'The Dukes of Hazzard : Someone Kidnapped Daisy' at Modern Promotions.
