Martin Mystère, by Giovanni Romanini
'Martin Mystère'.

Giovanni Romanini began his career in the animation field, where he cooperated on the television series 'Carosello'. His early comics work include 'Satanik' and 'Kriminal'. He cooperated with the artist Magnus on several episodes of the series 'Alan Ford', as well as 'La Valle del Terrore' in Special Tex and 'La Compagnia della Forca'. Romanini created horror and erotic comics for Edifumetto, and cooperated with several foreign publishers. In 1987, he and Lucio Filippucci created a celebrity comic series based on the notorious Hungarian-Italian porn star La Cicciolina who became world famous outside her niche when she won a seat in the Italian Parliament. Inevitably, they turned it into a pornographic comic series too.

As a commercial artist, Romanini worked for Panini and De Agostini. From 1992 to 1995, he cooperated on the Disney magazine Topolino, where he illustrated 'Donald Duck' stories. He then became an illustrator of 'Martin Mystère' at Bonelli publishers.
