Pierre Rivaltar debuted as a humorous illustrator in magazines like Le Rire, Le Sourire and Le Pêle-Mêle in 1908. He was subsequently present in Le Bon Vivant and L'Inédit. He made comics in several genres, including fantasy ('Le Nain Bleu', 'Le Magicien et la Bergère') and historical ('La Petite Vivandière des Bleus'), both published in Fillette in 1912. He also worked for L'Épatant with 'La Bande de l'Auto Rouge' in 1913-14. He presumably died during World War I.
