Howard Rands

Howard Rands was born in Geneva, New York, and studied at the Abbott Art School. He was in the US Merchant Marines and drew for several Air Force magazines. Rands assisted Robert Baldwin on the newspaper strip 'Freddy' in the 1960s. He drew his own feature in the 1970s, called 'Twitch'. He also worked on the 'Mutt & Jeff' Sunday page for eight years.
