Rafa Ramos began his comics career in 1963, working for the publishing house Toray with the series 'Hazañas Bélicas'. He drew war stories for England, worked for the German Bastei Verlag and appeared in Italian magazines such as Il Corriere dei Ragazzi ('Charlie Charleston') and Linus ('Leo Verdura'). He eventually joined the publishing house Bruguera, where he wrote and drew a variety of series for several magazines.
He created 'Galax, el Cosmonauta' (Bravo, 1968, text by Victor Mora), 'Manolo' (Comundi, 1970), 'La Señorita Ana' (DDT, 1970), 'Thump Sánchez' (La Vanguardia, 1971, text by Andreu Martin), 'Porcile' (El Papus, 1979), 'El Camaleón' (Mata Ratos, 1980), and 'Aitor y los Vascones' (Diario de Navarra, 1984). He also revived his 'Leo Verdura' series in El Pequeño País in 1986. Rafa Ramos has also published his work under the pen names Gali, Galileo, Rafaramos and Ramos.
