Juan Carlos Ramis was a regular contributor to the magazine Mortadelo (a magazine based on the characters of Francisco Ibáñez) from the 1980s. He created such characters as 'Alfalfo Romeo' and 'Sporty'. In cooperation with fellow artist Joaquín Cera, he revived the classic Escobar creation 'Zipi y Zape' at Ediciones B. Cera and Ramis have also cooperated on 'En Busca De Los Xunguis Perdidos'.
