The twins Jeanine and Renée Rahir both studied at the Saint-Luc Institute in Liège. From 1985 until 1989, they created numerous short stories for the magazine Tintin and its Dutch equivalent, Kuifje. In 1989, Jeanine did the artwork for 'Les Voyages de M. Victor', written by Marie-José Sacré. At the same time, Renée created her own series, 'Fann le Lion', for Tintin. In 1991, they made 'Barry Lan' together. Jeanine went solo in 1997 with 'Chevalier Walder', and Renée with 'Papa Noël', 'La Crëche' and 'La Nuit de NoÎl'. These three albums were published in the 'Pop-Up Noël' collection.
