Oskar Pinto Lobo, a painter who signed his comics with Óskar, drew 'Tom Migas e o seu cavalo Cara Linda' in ABC-Zinho in the 1920s. He was also the co-director of the short-lived magazine Rim Tim Tim. In 1930s, he became one of prime Portuguese contributors to the magazine O Senhor Doutor. His comic oeuvre is short but personal. In his comics, he parodied famous cinema stars. His version of 'Laurel and Hardy' was unfortunately forbidden by American publishers. |
