Miguel left his studies in Political Science and Sociology to study Fine Arts. He went to Barcelona to develop his style and to show his work to European publishers. He taught classes in Graphic Design in Brazil for a while and spent a couple of years in Portugal. During this period, he has published some comics in both countries. In 2002, he moved to Paris, France, to spend all his time on creating comics. He teamed up with writer Jean-Charles Kraehn and created the series 'Mykros'. The series is published by Dargaud since 2004.
