Frans (or Franz) Mettes was a Dutch illustrator and poster artist. He designed several movie posters and has illustrated various books and stories (most notably 'Bob Evers'). Starting in January 1938, he drew the comic strip 'Het Huis aan 't Water' with text by Jac van Amstel in newspaper De Standaard (150 episodes). |
