Comic art by Ma Wing-shing.
Ma Wing-shing started his comics career at the age of fifteen, when he first published comics such as 'The Experiment of the Devil', 'Five Brothers' and 'Charming' in magazine Ching Bo. He joined Jademan Comics, the publishing company of Wong Yuk-long, in the 1980s. There he created 'The Chinese Hero', which became one of Hong Kong's best selling manga. He founded his own company in 1989 and started the magazine Tin Ha Pictorial, for which he created the comics 'The North and South Poles' and 'Wind and Cloud'. This last comic was made into a movie, as was 'The Chinese Hero'. One of the artists who worked for Wing-shing as a scriptwriter, producer and assistant was Wan Yat-leung.
Ma Wing-shing has also regularly collaborated with other artists, such as Siu Kit (on 'Black Leopard'), Yuan Ga-bo (on 'God of Kings') and Fung Chi-ming (on 'Enemy of Heaven').
