Gary Leib was an American alternative comic artist and animator. Together with Doug Allen he created the comic book 'Idiotland'. They also worked together on various stories in 'Legal Action Comics, Volume 1' (2001). As founder of the animation studio Twinkle Leib, he made various animated segments of TV shows, films, music videos and websites. He was also active as a musician, playing in the band Rubber Rodeo.
Leib has won a 1994 Harvey nomination for his comic book 'Idiotland'. His illustrations and cartoons have appeared in The New Yorker, Musician Magazine, The New York Observer, Raw, Blab and as weekly features in The New York Press for many years. Leib also designed a popular line of promotional toys for Hershey. An accomplished musician, Leib was a founding member of the Grammy-nominated band Rubber Rodeo, which recorded two albums for Mercury Records.
