Pierre Le Goff began his professional comics career at the S.F.P.I. in 1949. For this publisher, he cooperated on magazines like Zorro, Clan, Héros Magazine, Zorro Magazine and Red Sheriff. He often signed his work for these periodicals with the pseudonym Pierre Brisson. From 1954 on, Le Goff also worked for other periodicals, like Spirou (several 'Belles Histoires de l'Oncle Paul'), Caméra 34 (an episode of 'Bob Mallard'), Pistolin (the series 'Garnerin' with Jean-Michel Charlier) and Avant-Garde (illustrations for Ray Bradbury stories).

For the S.E.G. group, Le Goff cooperated on Sans Peur ('L'Expédition du Ri-kiki', 'On a Volé un Scaphandrier') and the collection À Travers le Monde' (Chasseurs d'Araignées', 'Bob Flash'). In de second half of the 1950s, he was present in Hurrah! and L'Intrépide with several short stories, and also contributed to Lisette and La Semaine de Suzette. Between 1957 and 1961, he cooperated with Pierre Le Guen on 'Tomic' in Téméraire (Ed. Artima).
'Avengers'.
From 1958 to 1963, Le Goff illustrated several short stories for Vaillant with Roger Lécureux. With this scriptwriter, he also made the series 'Captain James' in Totem, originally drawn by Lucien Nortier. In the 1960s, Le Goff was mostly active for magazines like Télé Jeunes ('Dan Panther', 'Gavroche') and Francs-Jeux, as well as dailies like Paris-Jour and Libération. Under the pseudonym of Pol Greffiere, he drew comic adaptations of French espionage thriller hero 'Coplan FX-18' (over 3,000 strips) for the Opera Mundi syndicate.

For this agency, Le Goff also drew adaptations of Georges Ohnet's 'Gens de la Noce' (1966), Gaston Leroux's 'Rouletabille' (1966-70), and Paul Kenny's 'Les Missions de Francis Copelan' (1964-80), as well as the 'Nimbus' strip (1981-91), originally created by André Daix. From the second half of the 1960s to the 1990s, Pierre Le Goff additionally worked for magazines Pif, L'Humanité, Fantômas, Pilote, Amis-Coop, Tintin and Le Journal de Mickey. Between 1977 and 1982, he made comics adaptations of several television shows, published in albums by Téléjunior and Hachette (a.o. 'Chapeau Melon et Bottes de Cuir', 'Les Brigades du Tigre', 'Prince Noir', 'L'Homme qui Valait Trois Milliards', 'Matt Jenny'). Starting in 1995, Le Goff's work is reprinted in Présent magazine.
Pierre Le Goff passed away in 2023.
