Lee Jeong-mun, who is born in Japan, is famous for his humorous family comics. After his arrival in Korea, he made his comics debut in Arirang magazine in 1959. Through the years, he produced several famous characters, such as Simsul Chambong, Simtoli, Simsuki, Simsultong and Simpo, all featured in his successful 'Simsulgajok' series. He continued with the creation of 'Cheolin Kangtaou', a man of steel, whose adventures appeared in Sesonyeon magazine in the 1960s and 1970s. |
