Charles Harris Kuhn was born in 1892 in Illinois. In 1944, he published his 'Kuhn Course in Cartooning' book in Indianapolis. On 14 April 1947, Kuhn launched his daily comic 'Grandma', which was soon distributed all over the world by King Features Syndicate. In November 1949, Kuhn also started a Sunday page of his comic. Charles H. Kuhn drew the series his death in 1989. The final episode was published on 28 June 1969.
