John Jordan worked as a comic book artist through the Funnies Inc. shop in the 1940s. He mainly worked on features for Novelty Comics, such as 'The Cadet', 'Sergeant Spook', 'Dick Cole' and 'Target and the Targeteers'. He was additionally an inker on features for Fawcett ('Jackie Robinson', 'Mr. Scarlet and Pinky') and Timely ('Silver Scorpion', 'Sub-Mariner'). Between 1953 and 1955, he assisted Leon Beroth on the syndicated 'Don Winslow of the Navy' comic for General Features.
