An artist from Le Havre, Claude Jambers has worked on French newspaper strips in the 1950s and 1960s. He made vertical strips for Frace-Soir, most notably an adaptation of Franck Marchal's 'Nathalie Détective Chérie' (1959) and one of Catherine Gaskin's 'Sara Dane' (1963). Afterwards, Jambers has mainly worked as an illustrator and model maker, while also heading his own advertising company. He is the father-in-law of comics artist Jean-Charles Kraehn. |
