Dutch Disney artist Bas Heymans is the older brother of Mau Heymans, also a Disney artist. He started out inking his brother's stories in the mid-1990s, but soon he took on stories of his own. He shares his comical style with his brother, with comical long necks and beaks. In later years, Bas' stories were often inked by Jules Coenen. For the KNVB and Opel, he draws the strip 'Daar Heb je Dutchy!!'. Together with Sander Gulien and his brother Mau, he is one of the most productive Dutch Disney artists.
