Herval

After finishing his exams, Herval moved from his native Rouen to Paris to study modern literature. He did his first artwork for a series of t-shirts. He became the artistic director of the advertising agency Anaconda. He also joined an artists collective called BD Clip. There, he met Jean-Luc Belin with whom he started the juvenile comic series 'Captain Pirate'.
