Sven Hartmann

Sven Hartmann was born in Tessin. He studied and also taught at the School of Desing in both Basel and Zürich. He worked as a set designer, decorated display windows, designed and produced lamps and life-size puppets and made animated films. Together with Thomas Haertner, he is the creator of 'Jacob' the cat, whose picture stories have appeared in books, calendars and in magazines since the 1970s.
