The artist Rebecca Guay was born and raised in northern Massachusetts. Guay began her career in illustration in 1992 after graduating from Pratt Institute with a major in illustration, working extensively in comics, doing both black-and-white and painted work, on titles such as Marvel's '2099 Unlimited' and 'Conan', and DC's 'Swamp Thing'. |

Under DC's Vertigo imprint, Rebecca Guay was the regular artist on 'Black Orchid' for over a year. Her painted work has also graced various trading card series, such as the Topps' Star Wars Galaxy II, Aliens/Predator, and the Endless Gallery for DC. Her other work includes book covers for publisher Simon and Schuster and also for Scholastic Books. Guay also did a lot of work on the card game 'Magic: The Gathering' (she painted over sixty cards), two of the Magic graphic novels, and her work appeared in two of the 'Magic: The Gathering' calendars. |
