Gianni Forgiarini, accompanied by fellow artists and writers, founded Grugel, a collective of comic artists in Genoa, in 1969. From 1970, he published horror stories in Horror, and additionally contributed to Comics & Quiz and Sorry. In 1975, he made the western book 'Wyatt Doyle' with scriptwriter Giancarlo Berardi for Editoriale Cepim. He subsequently drew 'Zembo Testadirame' in Sgt. Kirk, and between 1977 and 1979, he was present in Il Giornalino with 'Il Soldato Cain'. In the 1980s, Forgiarini worked for the publisher Mondadori.
