George Gillingham was an artist working for the Amalgamated Press. His early work appeared in the Aldine publications Robin Hood and Buffalo Bill in the 1920s. |

His best known AP serials were 'Wolf of the West' (The Butterfly, 1938), 'The Trial of Fu Chang' (Comic Cuts, 1938), 'G-Man of the Ranges' (Knockout Fun Book, 1948) and 'The Sheik of El Bashan' (Tip Top, 1948). |
