Jinni, by Emil Gershwin

Emil Gershwin was active in the comic book field during the 1940s and 1950s. Among his early credits are features for Fox ('Eagle'), Quality ('Kid Eternity', 'Merlin the Magician'), Hillman ('Sergeant Flagg'), and Novelty ('The Whtie Streak'). He did several features for National/DC during the 1940s, including 'Sad-Face Charlie', 'Starman', 'Gang Busters' and 'Lady Danger'. He did crime features for Timely and Hillman, and worked on Fawcett's 'Captain Marvel'. Between 1949 and 1956, he mainly drew for ACG's 'Romantic Adventures', 'Forbidden Worlds' and 'Adventures into the Unknown'. In the late 1940s, he assisted on the 'Flash Gordon' and 'Tarzan' newspaper strips.
