Geo, pseudonym of Georges Debuyser, started his career in 1954 as layoutman for the Flemish newspapers from the group Hoste (Het Laatste Nieuws, Kwik, De Post en Telstar). He made a lot of political and sport cartoons and illustrations. From 1960 to 1976 he made the strip 'Rolfke & Rulfke', about the adventures of two boys. It got published in the children's weekly magazine Pum Pum.

The strip was taken up immediately and was very succesful. One album was published in 1999 by Brabant Strip. He also drew the realistic newspaper strips 'Het leven van een mulat', 'De olympische 5000 meter van Gaston Reif' and 'De dood van Tom Simpsom' and the comic strip 'Tijl Uilenspiegel leeft in Vlaanderen'. For the last decade Geo mainly concentrates on his paintings.
