Degreed in visual communication, Christophe Gaultier worked as chief decorator at the publishing house Dupuis from 1992. His main activities include animations, where he did characters and the backgrounds. He has also drawn for the press (Fleurus, Milan). He began his first comic, 'Grise-Mine', with Alexandre Thomas at Paquet in 2000.

He teamed up with the writer Sylvain Ricard, with whom he created the albums 'Kuklös' and 'Banquise' (Soleil Productions), as well as the series 'Le Cirque Aléatoire' (Treize Étrange). In 2006, he published his first solo comic 'Demi-course et Casquette Motul' at Dupuis.
