Frik is a Mexican comic artist. He studied Fine Arts in the 1980s and commenced working as comics artist, illustrator and caricaturist for the supplement Metrópoli of the daily El Día and Las Horas Extras between 1987 and 1992. He has also worked for magazines like Siempre! and Personal Computing. He has done illustrations for educational books by Editorial Selector.

He was co-founder of magazine El Gallito Cómix, that ran from 1992 to 1998. He also contributed to the Mexican edition of MAD, and magazines like Expansión, EXP and La Revista. In 1998, he co-founded Taller del Perro, through which he self-publishes several books. He created the series 'Kronikas Perras' with Jose Quintero and Ricardo Camacho in 1999.
