Franck Picard studied fine arts in Rouen, followed by an education in applied arts in Paris. There, he got his degree in art in 1987, as well as a degree in architecture two years later. In 1988 and 1989, he assisted Khrist Mirror on the creation of a comics atelier. At the same time, he attended the comics atelier of the École Duperré. In the 1990s, he began the series 'Jeepster' with writer Patrick Giordano at the publishing house Dargaud. Afterwards, he began the series 'Fatum' with François Froideval in 1996.
