Newton Foot was born in São Paulo, Brazil in 1962. He studied architecture at the University of São Paulo. There he met Fábio Zimbres, with whom he launched magazine Brigitte in 1986. A year later, he edited magazine Bundha, which won him a trophy. Together with Pitliuk he created the newspaper strip 'Afagos Amargos' in 1988. Newton Foot collaborated on magazines such as Níguel Náusea, Chiclete com Banana and Animal. In 1993 he made a theater play from the comic 'Momotaro, o Menino Pêssego'. He also writes scenarios for children's TV.
