Captain Rabble, by Rune Fleischer and Jesper Ejsing
Rune Fleischer started his career in comics in 1986, working in Den Blå Bil Studio in Odense, where he produced comics for local newspapers and advertising work for local companies. His first comic book, 'The Tale of the Wonderful Bronze' ('Eventyret om den vidunderlige bronce'), a collaboration with Peter Snejberg, was published in 1988. Two years later, he wrote and drew 'Sonja and Orla Tripping' ('Sonja og Orla på trip'), for the Odense Township's Alcohol and Drug Information. At the same time, he started to develop his character Kurt Cliffhanger (Kurt Klithænger), who made his debut in 1993. In the second half of the nineties, Rune Fleischer worked at the Pinligt Selskab (Embarrassing Company) Studio in Copenhagen, and collaborated with Jesper Ejsing on the comic 'Captain Rabble' ('Kaptajn Krapyl').
