Igor David spent most of his childhood in Africa. He went to study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Angoulême in 1983. After obtaining his degree, he started a career in the advertising field, and later on the animation field. At the same time, his work was featured in several expositions and he illustrated some children's books. He made his comics debut in 1996 with 'Magic Justice' at Vents d'Ouest. Two years later, he began the series '9 Têtes' scripted by Tiburce Oger at Les Humanoïdes Associés. In 2001, he created 'De Selma à Montgomery' in the collection Tohu Bohu at the same publishing house.
