After obtaining his degree in Graphic Art, Damien Jacob worked at an advertising agency specialized in pharmaceutical products for one year. The job didn't suit him, so he joined the Sint Lukas Institute in Brussels for six months, followed by three years at the Academy of Fine Arts of Angoulême. At the same time he did his first comics, like 'La Meute' at Le Cycliste publishers. He then joined the publishing house Delcourt where he began his series 'Les Fées Noires' and 'Arcane Majeur' along with scenarist Jean-Pierre Pécau.
