'His Nibs'. 

Roland Coe was a cartoonist and commercial artist, born in 1907 in Havana, Illinois. At the age of 15, he was already contributing to the Buffalo Times and a couple of years later to the Buffalo Courier. He contributed to magazines like Collier's, Judge, Life, Saturday Evening Post, American and Esquire, and was the illustrator for 'His Nibs', an advertising comic strip for Shredded Wheat (1940s). He is also known for his 'Crosstown Cartoons', which appeared in the New York Post from 1934 onwards. He died in 1954.
