The signature of Clérice appeared regularly in the early issues of La Semaine de Suzette in the 1910s, with comics featuring Arabs and Persians in the fairytale atmosphere of '1001 Nights'. Clérice is presumably the autograph of the Clérice brothers, or the "Clérice Frères", who are credited for several vintage posters. The Clérice Frères also published two books of 'L'Affaire du Courrier de Lyon' at the SPE in 1938 (text by Aleyrac). |
