Ken Broeders was born in Antwerp in 1970. He has been fascinated by drawing, history and reading his entire life. In 1993, he got his degree at the St. Luke Institute, where he studied Applied Arts. Soon afterwards, he started his first comics series, 'Tyndall', at Arboris publishers. In 2001, he started a new series for this publisher, called 'Voorbij de Steen'. Broeders has also illustrated the comics version of Edmond Rostand's 'Cyrano de Bergerac' for the Classix series of Standaard Uitgeverij.
