Edwin "Eddy" Buikovic was born in Zagreb in 1969. He made his debut in 1987 with the strip 'Dokaz'. He worked on several comic projects in his homeland, until he began to work for the American market together with Darko Macan in 1993. He cooperated on cooperated on 'Grendel Tales: Devils and Deaths' and 'Grendel Tales: Devil's Choices', together with Darko Macan. He is the artist of the graphic novels 'X-Wing Rogue Squadron: The Phantom Affair' (text by Darko Macan) and 'Star Wars: The Last Command' (text by Mike Baron). He was the artist of the 'Human Target' miniseries at DC's Vertigo imprint. He died of a tumor in Croatia in 1999, at the age of 30.
