Benjamin Kikkert who signs his political cartoons with "Kik" (earlier with "Bah"), grew up near Den Hoorn on the island Texel in the Netherlands. He studied analytical chemistry in Alkmaar, where he graduated in 2001. He works both as a chemical engineer and illustrator for ECN in Petten and as a political cartoonist for Nieuwspoort Forum magazine; the City Journal of the NICIS Institute and for the webstie of Jan Marijnissen. In the past he made one or more cartoons for Mens&Gevoelens, Nieuwe Revu, Housingcorporation Eigen Haard, Forbo Flooring, telegraaf.nl, Leefbaar Nederland, KLNK etcetera.
Bah is influenced by comic artists like Stefan Verwey, Zak, Zaza, Gummbah and Kamagurka.
