Pete Alvarado was an artist who worked for Western Publishing, where he did comics with Disney, Warner and Hanna-Barbera characters. He did comics with various Disney characters until the 1980s, among which the comic adaptation of 'The Rescuers'. From 1987 to 1990 he drew the 'Donald Duck' daily and Sunday page. As for the Warner characters, Alvarado was the artist of most of the early 'Road Runner' comics.

Besides his Disney and Warner work, he did the 'Roy Rogers' comic from 1948 to 1951. In 1952, Alvarado briefly drew 'Gene Autry' and from 1964 to 1966 he produced art for 'The Nearsighted Mr. Magoo'. In 1939 and 1940, he drew realististic comics for Worth, Novelty and Tem. Pete Alvarado was also active in the animation field, including Disney and Warner. Pete Alvarado died in December 2003.
