The Comiclopedia is the world's best overview of comic artists, and the vision of Kees Kousemaker, an avid comics collector who opened Europe's first comics store in Amsterdam in 1968. Kees was at the vanguard of promoting comics as art, and was internationally respected as an expert in his field, inspiring and supporting many artists over the years. Both the Lambiek store and the website are continuing in his spirit.
